Dresses cut for a long afternoon
Chui King KO is a small dress shop in Kowloon City, Hong Kong. The rail is short on purpose: eight dresses, four long and four short, chosen so that a wedding guest, a dinner and a Saturday can all be dressed from the same page.
The midi group runs from a white ladder-lace button front with a belt to a brown satin with a smocked waist, and from a taupe paisley with a lace trim to an oatmeal crochet in three tiers. All four fall below the knee; the high-low cuts are measured at both hems and the length is printed on every page.
The short group is built around movement - a hanky hem in dark brown embroidery, a rose pink two-tier with an adjustable strap, a deep blue floral with a smocked back and a bright blue racerback with a lace trim. Lining, closure and fabric are named on each page so nothing has to be guessed from a photograph.
What we sell
Four midi dresses - white ladder lace, brown satin, taupe paisley and oatmeal crochet - and four mini dresses with hanky hems, ruffled tiers and lace-trimmed straps. Everything on the site is women's high-low midi dresses and short embellished dresses, and every product page states the fabric, the lining and the measurements.
Why people order from us
- Each dress is tried on two body heights before the page is written, so the "midi" length is one we have actually measured on a person.
- The high-low hem is photographed from the side as well as the front, because the drop at the back is the part a flat picture hides.
- Lining is listed per dress: the satin and lace styles are lined to the knee, the crochet midi is lined through the body and left sheer at the sleeve.
How an order runs
Orders are packed in Kowloon City, Hong Kong, and processed in 1 to 3 business days. Delivery is estimated at 15 business days, and the shipping charge is calculated at checkout from the distance the parcel travels and its size and weight - there is no minimum to reach. An item can be returned within 14 days in unworn condition, a damaged parcel is reported within 48 hours and a parcel without tracking movement for 7 days is traced and replaced.
